This year’s fireworks show will surely be a highlight for many of our community residents and visitors. It’s shaping up to be one of our biggest and best shows ever. Performed to a synchronized musical score, the “Sing the Songs of America” tribute boasts the largest land-based fireworks shells in California to offer a myriad of colors and shapes for us all to “ooh” and “ah” over. Sitting on a blanket on the green and looking up to the night sky to see hundreds of explosions light up the night in honor of our country is the quintessential Fourth of July experience.

We are excited to bring two headline acts to our line-up this year and have added a third group to open. Perennial favorites—the Usual Suspects will be joined The Cocktail Monkeys, Cook and Fenny and our beloved Patriotic Singers! The show starts at 5:00pm and goes through until the fireworks start at 9:45pm. That’s over four hours of live music!

The Cook ‘n Fenny Combo plays a wide mix of folk, blues, roots, Americana, Country, down home Rock ‘n Roll plus a mix of their own originals. Covering artists from the Beatles and Stones to Dylan, Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, The Cook ‘n Fenny Combo brings back the music you grew up with.  The music you know and maybe forgot about.

Following Cook ‘n Fenny are The Usual Suspects with their high-energy classic rock. One of the South Bay’s most popular bands, they feature everything from Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and ZZ Top, to Santana, U2, Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Van Halen, AC/DC and so much more. The Usual Suspects have performed for over 19 years as part of the Morgan Hill Freedom Fest Celebrations, alternating between the Music Fest and Fireworks Show.

Karen Crane and the Patriotic Singers make a return appearance at 7:30pm to give everyone a chance to catch a glimpse of the wonderful program they perform the night before at the Patriotic Sing, kicking off our Freedom Fest celebration.

Consisting of five seasoned musicians, the Cocktail Monkeys is a band that brings high energy and serious fun to each and every performance. The band’s popularity is largely due to its selection of music that is in the vein of Rock, Pop & R&B. Covering music from such artists as: Blondie, David Bowie, Rolling Stones, Heart,  Queen, Pink, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Bruno Mars, Elle King, Katy Perry, Joan Jett and many more, it’s no doubt that there is something for everybody. Come see the band live for a memorable experience.
